We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Isle of Wight to assist with the appointment of an HR Advisor, on a 2-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £24.50 - £31.37 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert HR advice on disciplinary, capability, sickness absence, and grievance matters
  • Manage your own caseload of formal employee relations cases
  • Support and coach managers on policy application and best practice
  • Maintain and update HR policies, procedures, and guidance materials
  • Design and deliver training on HR policies and procedures
  • Support continuous improvement in HR processes and service delivery
  • Strong experience in a generalist HR advisory role
  • Proven background in handling complex casework
  • Sound knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience working in the public sector (preferably within Adult Social Care)
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
