A local government organization based in Lowestoft is seeking an HR Advisor to provide effective advice and support. The role involves working on employee relations, performance management, and recruitment. Candidates should have a CIPD level 5 qualification and relevant HR experience. Attractive benefits include flexible working and generous leave entitlements. This position offers a fixed-term contract until July 2026 with a salary range of £35,412 - £42,839 per annum.
Based at Riverside, Lowestoft or East Suffolk House, Melton (depending on candidates' preference)

We have a fantastic opportunity for an HR Advisor to join our busy team.
Your role
You will provide responsive HR advice and support and will work in partnership with our customers and the team to deliver a highly effective, professional, and pro-active HR service.
You will be responsible for providing advice and support to managers in employee relations, performance management, discipline and grievance, and absence management. You will also handle recruitment in your designated service areas and manage occupational health cases to conclusion.
What you will need
Applicants should be CIPD level 5 qualified as a minimum, with a willingness to work towards level 7 qualification. You will also have recent and relevant HR advisory experience, including up-to-date knowledge of employment law, as well as strong IT, communication, and customer service skills.
