Our therapeutic community and meaningful life delivery model are built around holistic care and lifelong learning, encouraging personal growth in a nurturing and supportive environment. If you\'re passionate about making a positive impact on both people and business, you’ll thrive here.

We are very proud of our Meaningful Life model. It entails our colleagues working closely with the people we support and their families, to agree and describe what a meaningful life and fulfilling future could look like for them.

Every young person has an individualised plan with bespoke goals that span home and school life to encourage maintenance and generalisation of skills.

A therapeutically informed approach is Kisimul’s golden thread to enabling meaningful lives for individuals accessing our services. It is a multi-disciplinary collaboration between therapeutic, education, and residential professionals to support and enhance the physical, mental, emotional, and social wellbeing of the individuals we support.

The role

Working as part of the People Team, you will provide advice and guidance in a supportive manner to our care teams. You will support in disciplinary and grievance processes, performance management and conduct trend analyses to provide insights and drive improvements.

Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of ER cases, including disciplinary actions, grievances and performance concerns which can at times be complex and sensitive in nature
  • Work collaboratively with the People Partners and divisional leaders to recommend outcomes and mitigate risks
  • Foster strong relationships, promoting early intervention, and pre-empting the need for formal processes ensuring a pro-active ER conversation
  • Provide expert guidance on disciplinary actions, performance improvement plans, and development strategies while supporting effective performance management processes
  • Facilitate impartial mediation sessions and manage grievance cases from initiation to resolution, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance. Ensure all ER cases are managed with confidentiality and in accordance with legal, regulatory, and organisational standards, including GDPR
  • Analyse ER case data to identify trends, provide actionable insights, and inform continuous improvement in the proactive ER practices and policies
  • Support with the development of HR Policies and practices, and work on ad hoc HR Projects including organisational change and engagement
About You

The experience I bring:

  • Proven expertise in managing complex ER cases
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish effective relationships across all organisational levels
  • Ability to work independently while knowing when to escalate cases for further support, alongside strong teamwork skills
  • Exceptional skills in communication, coaching, and influencing to drive positive pro-active outcomes
  • Demonstrated capacity to build trust and credibility with both managers and employees
  • A proactive, professional, and solution-oriented approach to addressing HR challenges
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and professionalism
  • Solid understanding of best practices in employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution
