The Role
As an HR Advisor, you will be leading, supporting and coaching our People Managers and colleagues throughout our ‘Colleague Journey’, providing a full end-to-end generalist HR service.
Your support and actions will assist us in delivering the Solvd. Business and People Strategy.

Key Responsibilities
- People Strategy
- Support the delivery of People Projects to improve colleague experience at all levels.
- Attraction & Recruitment
- Proactively manage recruitment to ensure we attract the best talent and provide an amazing onboarding experience
- Ensure all administrative new joiner related activities, including contracts of employment and Right to Work verification are completed accurately and in a timely manner
- Support Managers through Probation and beyond
- Deliver a warm, welcoming induction and provide a great start for all new colleagues.
- Performance, Learning & Development
- Support the annual performance cycle including mid-year and end of year evaluations
- Book and manage appropriate learning interventions for colleagues
- Support delivery of our annual skills framework
- Experience & Engagement
- Support coordination of annual colleague survey
- Drive wellbeing initiatives
- Ensure EDI is promoted within Solvd.
- Manage colleague benefit sign up
- Employee Relations
- Support People Managers on ER activities such as performance and absence management, disciplinary etc., providing advice and guidance, ensuring timely and relevant communication
- Provide guidance on HR policies and procedures, advising managers on employment law matters in accordance with company policies and other resources
- Maintaining HR policies and procedures
- Systems & Data
- Provide an effective HR administration service
- Manage systems in line with new starts, leavers and changes
- Production of HR metrics
- Awareness and adherence to all principles of GDPR
- Engage in continuous improvement of day-to-day work to enable bottom up improvement.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- Experience working in an HR advisory role, including, for example, general HR advice, HR administration, recruitment and selection, HR Information systems
- Proactive and motivated to complete tasks to a high standard
- Strong attendance management and employee relations experience, with clear knowledge of employment law specifically to this.
- Commitment to ongoing personal development
- Ability to deal with difficult situations in a professional manner
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, including sensitivity and influence.
- Ability to recognise and act upon the implications of actions and decisions.
- Ability to collect, collate and analyse information to enable informed decisions to be made.
- Competent user of Microsoft office software and HR software.
The following are advantageous but not required:
- Business or HR Management degree
- Associate member of CIPD or equivalent
- Strong IT and HR systems experience, beneficial to have worked with iTrent as an HR system previously.
