HR Advisor - Barrow

We are seeking an HR generalist to drive forward the aims and objectives of this industry-leading organisation. You will be part of a small HR Team, delivering an HR service across a number of sites, in addition to providing generalist knowledge across all parts of HR. The successful candidate will also lead on specific areas within the function, including Recruitment and Selection, Induction and Probation, and Case Work.

  • Lead on the development of resources, and training for Line Managers to support them with all aspects of Recruitment and People Management, including induction, probation and performance management
  • Be the recognised Lead in the department for Recruitment and Selection of staff, Induction and Probation, having suitable processes in place to ensure new employees have a clear and supportive introduction to their role and receive any support identified through the probation process, working closely with the HR Admin Support Assistant to ensure suitable records and tracking is in place
  • Advise Line Managers on dealing with minor performance or behavioral issues, in line with relevant HR policies & procedures, identify when referrals to more formal processes may be required
  • Review, develop and continually improve relevant HR policies, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practice as directed by the Head of HR
