Job description

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced HR Advisor to join a successful, well-established and market-leading business. As part of their continued success, the appointment of the HR Advisor, in the Lancashire region, is critical in supporting the HR team in the next phased growth and direction of the company.


The role is very fast paced and a great opportunity to provide essential support to the HRBP and wider HR and management teams with 1st line HR queries. Working closely with the HRBP, General Managers and senior leadership teams, you will ensure the day-to-day management and support is available to employees on-site. Seeking guidance from the HRBP or specialists as required to ensure the business operates in a safe, fair and consistent working manner.


Due to the nature of the role, you will be expected to travel to a number of the company's sites when required (pool car provided), to meet and build relationships with the senior leadership teams to understand their requirements and support with a number of HR matters. Flexibility to travel is therefore needed. It will be a huge advantage if you have substantial ER experience, and have managed and led a number of investigations.


You will see this as a great opportunity to learn and develop your HR skills in a dynamic and fast paced environment. As an individual, you will be pro-active, resilient and self-motivated with a positive way of thinking, highly personable, diplomatic, professional and possess exceptional communication skills. A very pragmatic, hands-on approach will be required. Level 3 CIPD as a minimum is required, and preference will be given to candidates that are degree educated.


Additional duties will be to screen and recommend to management candidates for short listing, understand blue-collar and white-collar recruitment trends and be creative in looking at ways to attract talent. There will also be an element of coaching recruiting managers on effective induction and the onboarding process.
