A leading public sector client in Bournemouth is seeking a full-time HR Advisor for a temporary engagement until March 2025. This role entails managing employee relations casework, providing advice across multiple HR functions, and developing strong relationships within the organization. The ideal candidate will possess part-qualified CIPD credentials and have substantial HR experience.

Are you an experienced senior HR Advisor with public sector experience?

Do you have experience handling employee relations cases including absence management, grievances, disciplinaries, and performance management?

My client is looking for a full-time HR Advisor to join them on a temporary contract until March 2025.

As a HR Advisor, you will report into the Employee Relations Manager, and you’ll work across shared services to deliver a professional and consistent employee relations service which enables customers to manage their people resources effectively.

Key Responsibilities of HR Advisor:

* Proactively manage and deliver employee relations casework
* Provide professional advice on all aspects of employee relations including absence management, grievance, disciplinary and performance management, escalating casework where appropriate
* Work closely with other HR colleagues and across services to monitor, review and update all policies in line with current legislation and best practice
* Develop and maintain good working relationships with Trade Unions to resolve individual cases and effective consultation on people related solutions
* Develop effective relationships with the business to promote good employee relations across the organisation
* Coach, train, and develop managers in good practice employee relations knowledge & skills

What we’re looking for:

* Part qualified CIPD
* Previous experience of working within a Human Resources environment
* Must be able to travel, using public or other forms of transport where they are viable, or by holding a valid UK driving licence with access to own or pool car.
* High level of resilience
* Emotional Intelligence
