Qualifications

Successful business in the heart of Derby City Centre is looking to recruit an additional HR Advisor due to increased workload.

Your new role

To provide comprehensive day-to-day generalist HR support to all Group companies, including onboarding, performance management, disciplinary and grievances, worker complaints, employee benefits, best practice, employment law, policies and procedures, and terms and conditions.

  • Advise managers and employees on employment law matters, the interpretation of terms and conditions, and HR policies and procedures.
  • Advise staff of their family-friendly rights and process accordingly.
  • Support managers with flexible working requests.
  • Support managers with recruitment, including liaising with external recruitment agencies and interviews.
  • Advise on and administer job descriptions, offering support and practical assistance to managers to ensure they are compliant with current legislation.

What you'll need to succeed

Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above.

CIPD qualified (or qualified by experience).

Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and practices.

Ability to effectively manage meetings, investigations, and group discussions.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Must possess good listening, mediation, and counselling skills.

Ideally degree qualified (or equivalent).
