We are looking for a proactive and people-centred HR Advisor to join our team. You’ll provide HR advice to colleagues, lead on various projects, and be an expert in employee relations.

This is a hybrid role with a requirement to be in the Slough office a minimum of 2 days per week. We’ll give you an electric company car to make the journey more comfortable.

What You’ll Be Doing
  1. Confidently advising and leading on complex employee relations cases including performance improvement processes, disciplinary, grievance, absence, and consultations regarding business changes.
  2. Coaching managers on dealing with a variety of difficult scenarios including conducting training and support sessions on specific HR topics and processes.
  3. Keeping our HR policies smart, compliant, and easy to use.
  4. Measuring employee engagement and working with managers to identify solutions.
  5. Supporting recruitment and onboarding – helping us to attract and retain top talent.
  6. Being a key member of the HR Team supporting colleagues as needed.
  7. Working closely with management teams and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
What You’ll Bring
  1. Solid HR experience, ideally in an advisory role.
  2. A proven record of managing complex ER cases, especially consultation processes regarding business change.
  3. A strong knowledge of employment legislation, an understanding of upcoming changes, and how they may impact the business.
  4. Highly organised and able to manage and work towards deadlines.
  5. Able to interpret and use HR data and metrics to inform decisions.
  6. Strong IT skills including use of complex HR systems and Excel; understanding of Workday would be beneficial but not essential.
  7. Ability to act calmly under pressure, tactful, determined, quick thinking, yet methodical and consistent.
  8. Ideally CIPD level 5 or above, but it’s not essential.
