We are looking for an experienced and passionate HR professional to join our inhouse HR team. The HR Advisor will report into the HR Operations Partner and the position is located in Basingstoke, North Hampshire.

Main Responsibilities include:
  • Act as the initial point of contact for all HR operations matters; providing high quality, consistent first-line HR advice, coaching and guidance relating to policy, procedure and best practice at all levels.
  • Employee relations: Support Managers in performance management processes, disciplinary, grievance issues and attendance matters. Provide guidance and support with investigations when this might be appropriate, ensuring cases are managed in a timely manner.
  • Absence management: Proactively identifying high absence, and working with managers to progress appropriate route.
  • Proactive HR support: Identifying potential HR/process risks, suggesting improvements to HR practices. Able to identify and implement business focused solutions.
  • Data Analysis/Interpretation: Using company systems to run reports, analyse and interpret data to highlight any themes, trends and combined with external benchmarking and networking provide recommendations.
  • Employee Trends: Using relevant data, research and analyse employee trends to understand ways to increase employee engagement and retention for example Exit Interview data, ERG feedback and producing company KPI packs.
  • Legal/Employee Relations: Maintain current knowledge of employment law and apply this in risk assessment and proactive management of ER case load, escalating to HR OP where appropriate.
  • Policies and Procedures: Take a proactive approach to developing and reviewing policies and procedures.
  • Manage employee life cycle events: Support and guide employees and managers with processes such as maternity, parental, flexible working, internal moves.
  • Internal Relationships: Working in collaboration with HR and payroll teams to process associated employee changes to meet payroll cut-off deadlines and ensure data accuracy.
Skills and Qualifications required:
  • CIPD qualified Level 3 – essential/Level 5 – desirable.
  • Bachelors degree educated in HR or a Business or Management discipline – desired but not essential.
  • A progressive and experienced HR Advisor/Administrator with good generalist HR knowledge across all functional areas.
  • Able to juggle multiple and changing priorities and manage stakeholder expectations and relationships.
  • Proven analytical skills and critical thinking with strong attention to detail, be able to recognise trends, analyse data and communicate results effectively.
  • Excellent Excel/PowerPoint/Word skills.
  • Experience of Success Factors – desirable.
  • Experience of using Power BI - desirable.

The emphasis on this role will be the capability to oversee ER work from beginning to end.
