Job description

We are currently recruiting for an experienced HR Advisor to join our team in Abingdon, UK on a 12 month fixed term contract.

The HR Advisor is responsible for providing support and guidance to management and employees on a variety of HR-related matters.

Role: HR Advisor

Role Type: 12 month fixed term contract

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week Monday to Friday

Salary: £28,500 - £32,500

Location: Milton Park, Abingdon, UK. This role will be Hybrid with the option to work from home up to 2 days per week.

The Company has established a unique position by assembling top-class scientific experts and integrating state-of-the-art technologies as well as substantial experience and expertise in key therapeutic areas including neuronal diseases, diabetes and complications of diabetes, pain and inflammation, oncology, infectious diseases, respiratory diseases and fibrosis.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating new employee orientation and onboarding, including conducting orientation sessions, and facilitating new hire paperwork.
  • Providing guidance and support to managers and employees on HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Managing employee records and ensuring compliance with record-keeping requirements.
  • Managing employee benefits programs, including enrolment, changes, and questions.
  • Managing HR-related projects, including conducting research and analysing data.
  • Assisting with payroll processing and ensuring compliance with payroll laws and regulations.
  • Deliver all end to end employee life cycle processes. Including new starters, changes and leavers, whilst ensuring accuracy, compliance and a positive employee experience throughout.

Skills & Experience

  • Must have significant experience within human resources.
  • Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage own workload.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • CIPD qualification in People Management
