Job description

Our client, an oil and gas operator, is currently hiring a HR Advisor to join the team in Aberdeen. This position is on a long-term contract basis.

Description of Assignment:

As a HR Advisor, you will be a key part of the HR team supporting the efficient and consistent delivery of end-to-end HR services. This role involves generalist HR support and transactional processing, contributing to smooth HR operations, data management, customer service, payroll, benefits, recruitment, query management, and continuous improvement efforts. The position interacts with employees, Line Managers, internal customers, and the HR team, providing timely, accurate, and high-quality support.

The successful candidate will demonstrate agility in responding to shifting priorities, evolving organizational needs, and continuous change. You should be comfortable navigating ambiguity, proactively identifying solutions, and supporting the HR team through transformation and change initiatives.

  1. Contribute to the delivery of end-to-end HR services as part of a team supporting various functions, ensuring consistent delivery of standardized HR processes and practices.
  2. Carry out service-related activities such as data entry in SuccessFactors, managing HR documentation, updating internal systems and databases, liaising with payroll suppliers, and responding to employee and Line Manager queries.
  3. Own, monitor, and track the resolution of employee queries from local teams, continuously identifying opportunities for process and service improvements.
  4. Work collaboratively with other advisors to meet service delivery KPIs and provide high-quality, compliant HR services aligned with business expectations and global standards.
  5. Regularly assess personal performance using real-time data to identify issues, anticipate challenges, and recognize trends for improvement.
  6. Build and maintain understanding of local employment laws and cultural practices to enhance service delivery and ensure compliance.
  7. Track and manage performance against SLAs, delivering services within scope, timelines, and quality standards at a local level.
