Overview

As an HR Adviser, you'll support leaders across the organisation to implement HR policies and processes fairly and consistently. You'll bring a positive, solutions-focused approach, strong interpersonal skills, and a genuine desire to help others. We're seeking someone proactive, with the ability to build trust, communicate clearly, and apply sound judgement. Previous experience in employee relations and a sound knowledge of UK employment law is desirable.

Responsibilities
  • Provide first-line support to leaders on disciplinary, grievance, performance, and well-being matters.
  • Guide managers through absence management processes, including occupational health referrals and return-to-work support.
  • Ensure consistent and compliant application of HR policies and employment law.
  • Draft and review basic ER letters and escalate complex cases to HRBPs or the ER team.
  • Support performance appraisals and the development of performance improvement plans (PIPs).
  • Promote employee engagement and development initiatives.
  • Manage HR cases through a case management tool, maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Identify trends and recommend policy improvements to mitigate future risks.
  • Collaborate with legal advisers, occupational health, and other stakeholders on complex cases.
