Job description

Job Title: HR Assistant and PA to the Chief Operating Officer

Salary: £30,000 p.a. + 12.5% pension contribution + other benefits

Location: Henry Moore Studios & Gardens, Much Hadham, Hertfordshire.

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent. 35 hours/week

28 hrs/wk or a 4 day week pro rata would be considered.

This role is a great opportunity to develop a career in HR - which forms 80% of this role; and to hone your clerical skills as PA to the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Finance Officer in this small, friendly team in our busy cultural environment.

The Henry Moore Foundation, established by one of the greatest sculptors of the twentieth century, presents Moore's work at his former home and studios in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, near Bishop's Stortford, and provides a centre for the study of sculpture at the Henry Moore Institute in Leeds.

We are seeking a personable, highly organised administrator to assist our HR Manager with recruitment, professional development, payroll preparation and other HR tasks; and to assist the COO with administration for the Board of Trustees and occasional PA duties.

Our successful candidate will bring proven administrative/clerical experience, ideally gained in a cultural or charitable environment, plus either some experience of HR or an enthusiasm to learn HR practice. Exceptional organisational and communication skills, along with a 'can do' attitude and a high level of attention to detail are essential for this role. Experience of minute-taking would be beneficial, as well as a GCSE in maths, plus absolute discretion and good humour.

Interviews: Tuesday 29 April 2025 at Perry Green, East Hertfordshire.

We encourage and support equality, diversity and inclusion in our workplaces.
