My client is seeking an HR Administrator to join their busy team on a 9-month FTC to cover maternity leave, supporting their day-to-day HR operations. This role is fully based on their site in Sittingbourne.

Job Description

The key responsibilities include:

  1. Maintaining employee files and records on the HRIS.
  2. Managing the recruitment lifecycle, including advertising vacancies, arranging interviews, sending regret letters, conducting pre-employment checks, and preparing new starter administration.
  3. Entering new employees, leavers, and contract changes on the HR system, adhering to payroll deadlines.
  4. Managing and tracking the probationary period process, escalating issues to the Head of HR when necessary.
  5. Tracking long-term sickness and supporting the HR team in managing cases requiring referral to Occupational Health.
  6. Assisting with the induction of new staff.
  7. Handling queries regarding holiday entitlement and other benefits.
  8. Updating company policies and the employee handbook as needed.
  9. Administering the training matrix, booking training courses, and ensuring certificates are logged and stored appropriately.
  10. Attending meetings and taking notes as required.
  11. Assisting with HR KPI data compilation for reporting.
  12. Maintaining confidentiality and protecting documentation in line with the Data Protection Act.
  13. Promoting health and safety awareness among staff.
Candidate Profile

The successful candidate should:

  1. Be immediately available and able to commit to a 9-month contract.
  2. Be familiar with HR software such as HRIS or HRMS.
  3. Have prior HR experience.
