Job description

Time Appointments are pleased to be working on behalf of a reputable Insurance company based in Chelmsford who are looking for an organised, driven, and friendly People Assistant to join their team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with administration, such as data entry, filing, answering the telephone, keeping policies and procedures up to date once instructed, research regulations and maintaining up to date employee information.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the staff handbook is up to date
  • Organising and requesting references for employees
  • Drafting offer letters and contracts of employment for new employees
  • Ensuring contracts and new employee packs are returned and checked prior to the new starter joining the company
  • Keeping personal files up to date
  • Ensuring all job specs are kept up to date
  • Ensuring all sickness and absences are kept up to date
  • Keeping on top of employee probation reviews, communicating with management and administering probation pass reviews
  • Carrying out induction with new starters and exit meetings with leavers.

Previous Skills & Experience Required:

  • At least 1 years experience within Human Resources is essential
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work on your own
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to construct written communications that are effective and meet business needs
