James Andrews are proud to be partnering with a leading UK private sector employer who are now looking to appoint an HR Administrator on a permanent basis. This will be a full-time position based in Leicestershire, alongside a competitive salary from £27,000 per - £29,000 annum dependent on experience, skills and knowledge.

The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in HR and recruitment administration, who has excellent communication skills, is self-motivated and a strong team player.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

Undertaking administration of all employee-related paperwork, such as but not limited to employee contracts, new starter packs, absence and holiday system support, contractual change, and the leaver process

Administration of all employee benefits and associated schemes

Liaising and being the lead contact with payroll throughout the payroll process to ensure adjustments are implemented accurately and on time

Providing first-line advice and guidance on policies, procedures and practices and benefits such as holiday, cycle to work scheme, absence etc.

Advising and supporting managers on 1st line contractual and procedural aspects of HR, and general HR enquiries by email, in person and by phone

Supporting interviews and assessment centres, Deliver HR onboarding and inductions when required

Processing maternity, paternity and parental and other leave requests and letters, supporting line managers with advice

Absence procedure processing of key documentation and monitoring/reporting of levels, contractual entitlements and process, including return to work meetings, doctor's notes and escalating as appropriate to the wider HR team

Providing support where necessary to the wider HR Team in aspects of case work such as note taking etc.

Monitoring probationary periods including the generation of end of review paperwork, and escalating to the wider HR team as required

Managing exit interview process and feedback to Head of HR on trends

Experience required:

1-2 years' experience of administration working within a specific HR setting

Demonstrate extensive experience in all aspects of HR administration

Strong written and oral communication skills

Demonstrate strong organisational and efficiency

Experience of HR systems beneficial

Skills, knowledge and expertise required:

Able to understand contracts, new starters & leavers processes

A CIPD qualification or studying for the qualification (desirable)

Good IT skills and competence in this area

Working hours:

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Reduced hours will be considered across Monday to Friday (i.e. PT or term time hours)
