As the 11 Group Business Manager Assistant you will be provide support to the Business Manager for all 11 Group financial business, engaging with key stakeholders across all functional areas within 11 Group and Headquarters Air Command. 11 Group business involves Operational and Exercise activity across the world making this new role really exciting and presents an amazing opportunity to work with a great team, playing a vital role in its effectiveness
As the 11 Group Business Manager Assistant, you will report to the Business Manager and be expected to support with the undertaking of the following tasks:
Supporting 11 Group's financial planning, budgeting and forecasting cycles, capturing costs and potential savings in line with direction from 11 Group Chief of Staff and the BM.
Take the lead in the management of the business area's electronic procurement cards.
Assisting the wider business area on financial matters, procurement routes, recommending potential alternative options considering costs, benefits and risks and requisition approvals.
Assist the Business Manager Day to day management of the business area's financial business, including: conducting financial & governance scrutiny and advice on business cases, expenditure approval requests, financial claims and audit/assurance returns within delegated authority, and escalating issues to the BM where necessary.
Assist the BM on advising on Letters of Delegation content, structure and manage their storage and maintenance as auditable documents.
In the absence of the BM conduct, or when required, provide routine finance briefs, ensuring robust auditable records of decisions area accurately recorded, and saved in accordance with all information legislation, policy and regulation.
Assist the BM with the area's Civil Service workforce headcount and planning, being alert and adapting to emerging issues and MOD priorities.
Additional duties to support AOC 11 Gp and Outer Office on an AD-HOC basis.
