Job summary

Roundhouse Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced HPLC Field Service Engineer to service and repair HPLC/LC/UHPLC systems across the South of England. The role involves independent field work with regular UK travel and some European travel, and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

You will install, calibrate and maintain analytical instrumentation, and provide technical training to customers within pharmaceutical and laboratory environments.

Qualifications

• Hands-on HPLC/LC/UHPLC service, maintenance and fault-finding experience.
• Field Service Engineer or analytical instrumentation background.
• Experience with Waters/Agilent/Shimadzu/Thermo Fisher/PerkinElmer or similar equipment advantageous.
• GC, LC-MS, GC-MS, spectroscopy or gas-generator experience advantageous.
• Comfortable working independently and traveling regularly.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, fault-find and repair HPLC, LC and UHPLC systems.
• Install, commission and calibrate analytical laboratory equipment.
• Carry out planned preventive maintenance and breakdown repairs.
• Support chromatography equipment including GC, LC-MS and GC-MS.
• Operate spectroscopy equipment and laboratory gas generators.
• Provide technical support and equipment training to customers.
• Work autonomously across a regional field-service territory.
• Complete service reports and technical documentation.
• Regular UK travel, overnight stays and occasional European travel.

Field Based - South of England / Some UK Travel
Are you a Field Service Engineer with hands‑on HPLC / LC servicing experience looking to join a growing specialist within analytical instrumentation known for their great working environment and employee benefits?
This is an excellent opportunity to join a small and expanding technical service team supporting customers across pharmaceutical, scientific and analytical laboratory environments. You will work autonomously across a varied portfolio of chromatography and laboratory instrumentation, with opportunities to develop your knowledge across GC, LC-MS, GC-MS, spectroscopy and wider analytical technologies.
This is a field‑based role covering primarily the South of England, alongside wider UK travel when required. Overnight stays will form part of the position, with occasional European travel.

The Role:
