Job summary

EDF in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced on-site lead to deliver the PWHT work package, defining standards and coordinating with project teams to align schedules and prevent conflicts.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead the on-site team to successfully deliver the PWHT work package.
  • Define standards and performance benchmarks to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Coordinate with project teams to align schedules and optimize workflows.
  • Implement and promote quality processes and ensure their application.
  • Plan and sequence activities with protective measures to preserve quality.
  • Supervise client inspections and handover to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Act as focal point for PLOD/PLOW reporting and compliance.
  • Develop and implement project completion strategies and allocate resources.
  • Monitor progress to achieve handover milestones and satisfy stakeholders.
  • Review and approve timesheets for accurate recording of hours.
  • Monitor KPIs, including NCR opening/closure rates.
  • Prepare the End of Intervention Report.
  • Document contractual delays with supporting evidence for the Contract Manager.

Job description

Roles and responsibilities
  • Leading the on-site team to successfully deliver the Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) work package.
  • Defining standards and performance benchmarks to ensure consistent execution and compliance with quality requirements.
  • Coordinating with project teams and support functions to align schedules, optimize workflows, and prevent interface conflicts.
  • Implementing and promoting quality processes while ensuring their proper application and communication throughout the project.
  • Planning and sequencing activities efficiently while implementing protective measures to preserve completed work and maintain quality standards.
  • Supervising client inspections and the handover process to ensure smooth project delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Acting as the focal point for PLOD/PLOW reporting, ensuring compliance with project requirements.
  • Developing and implementing project completion strategies, including effective planning and resource allocation.
  • Monitoring project progress to ensure handover milestones are achieved and client and stakeholder expectations are met.
  • Reviewing and approving timesheets to ensure accurate recording of working hours.
  • Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs), particularly the opening and closure rates of Non-Conformity Reports (NCRs).
  • Preparing the End of Intervention Report.
  • Identifying, documenting, and substantiating all contractual delays, and preparing supporting documentation for review by the Contract Manager.
  • Preparing monthly safety performance indicators and conducting reviews of safety events.
Requirements

Education & Experience

Engineering degree with a specialization in Mechanical Engineering.
