Job summary
BCL Legal Limited is seeking a Commercial Litigation Associate to join its growing Houston office. You will work across a broad range of complex, high-value disputes, supporting senior lawyers and taking on increasing responsibility across matters.
The firm is open to candidates from junior to senior associate levels with strong commercial litigation experience, excellent research and writing skills, and a drive to develop as a well-rounded litigator in a sophisticated practice.
Qualifications
- JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
- Admission to the Texas Bar and in good standing.
- Commercial litigation experience gained within a recognised law firm.
- Strong legal research, writing and analytical skills.
- Experience with discovery, motions, depositions and/or trial preparation.
Responsibilities
- Conducting legal research and developing case strategy
- Drafting pleadings, motions, briefs and other substantive legal documents
- Managing written discovery and document review
- Preparing for and participating in depositions
- Assisting with hearings, trial preparation and other court proceedings
- Working closely with partners on complex and high-stakes disputes
- Having direct client exposure and responsibility as your experience develops
