Job summary

A leading training provider in London is looking for a Skills Trainer to plan and deliver high-quality training in Housing and Leadership & Management. The role involves both in-person and online sessions, supporting apprentices and colleagues to improve their skills and achieve qualifications. Candidates should have a strong housing background and a relevant teaching qualification. This hybrid position requires excellent communication skills and a commitment to learner success.

Qualifications

Job description
HYBRID ROLE, 2 DAYS IN LONDON OFFICE
Role Purpose

The Skills Trainer will plan, teach, and support apprentices and colleagues to achieve qualifications, improve learner experience, and drive positive outcomes. This includes delivering classroom, online, and workplace-based sessions, both group and 1:1, while ensuring continuous improvement in attendance, retention, and achievement.

What You ll Do

As a Skills Trainer, you ll:

  • Deliver high-quality training in either Housing (CIH) up to Level 5 and/or Leadership & Management (L&M) up to Level 7.
  • Lead on apprenticeship programmes within your area of expertise.
  • Design and deliver engaging, inclusive sessions in classroom, online, and workplace settings.
  • Support learners through tutorials, assessments, and preparation for End Point Assessments.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance learner engagement, retention, and achievement.

You might currently be:

  • An apprenticeship assessor looking to step into a more hands-on teaching role.
  • A housing professional with a passion for developing others and ready to share your expertise.
  • A trainer or coach with experience in one area (e.g., housing or L&M) and looking to expand into the other.
  • Someone who hasn t yet delivered leadership development but is keen to grow into this area with the right support.
What We're Looking For
  • Has a strong housing background (ideally with CIH Level 5 or equivalent).
  • Holds a PELTS qualification (or equivalent teaching qualification), or is willing to work towards one.
  • Has experience delivering apprenticeship standards and understands OFSTED frameworks.
  • Can confidently lead or is ready to grow into leading leadership development programmes.
  • Is a great communicator, highly organised, and passionate about learner success.
