Job summary

Hastoe Housing is seeking an experienced Housing Team Leader to head our housing management team and deliver outstanding services to residents across a designated area.

You will supervise Housing Officers, oversee tenancy management, and lead on complex cases while ensuring compliance with housing laws, safeguarding requirements and health and safety standards. A driving licence and regional travel are required.

Qualifications

• Significant experience within social housing or housing management.
• Experience of managing and developing staff.
• Up-to-date knowledge of housing law, tenancy management, safeguarding and anti-social behaviour.
• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to manage complex cases.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A customer-focused approach and commitment to achieving positive outcomes for residents.
• The ability to analyse performance information and drive service improvements.
• A full driving licence and willingness to travel regularly across your region.
• Hold or have a willingness to obtain a Chartered Institute of Housing Level 4

Responsibilities

• Leading, motivating and developing a team of Housing Officers and other housing staff.
• Overseeing tenancy management throughout the tenancy lifecycle, including assignments, successions, mutual exchanges and tenancy enforcement.
• Providing management oversight on complex anti-social behaviour, safeguarding and domestic abuse cases.
• Ensuring effective neighbourhood and estate management, maintaining safe and sustainable communities.
• Supporting the delivery of rent collection targets and review complex arrears cases.
• Monitoring service performance and ensure compliance with housing, health and safety and regulatory requirements.
• Building strong partnerships with residents, local authorities, support agencies and contractors.

Job description

Salary £50,000 - £54,500 depending on experience
Hours: Full time (35 hours)
Location: Hybrid working with one day a week in our Little Canfield office. Along with regular travel to Hastoe offices and schemes.

About the role
