About The Role

Are you interested in joining a busy organization and a multifaceted housing services team dedicated to assisting those in housing need? We have an exciting opportunity for a Housing Team Leader to join our Housing Services Team. The role focuses on Part VI of the Housing Act, overseeing our Choice Based Lettings (CBL) system, with a working knowledge of Part VII. You will supervise the daily operational service delivery of the team, maintaining a high level of technical and professional competence, and providing guidance and support to team members. You will also support the Housing Operational Lead and deputize when necessary.

What We Need From You

We seek an individual with experience working at a professional level, demonstrating competency in the Housing & Homelessness Act, and understanding current issues facing the housing sector. Experience in leading projects, managing teams, and handling pressure and difficult situations is essential. Excellent communication and customer-care skills, along with flexibility and teamwork, are required. The council supports ongoing development through coaching, mentoring, formal training, and professional growth opportunities.
