Rated ‘Outstanding’ by the CQC, Kings Mill Court is a complex of 12 self-contained flats for up to 12 people with complex physical needs, behaviours that challenge and/or learning disabilities.
Our team provides care and support for the clients who live in the property, on site 24 hours a day. Your role will be to promote independent living and supporting the client to maintain their accommodation. You will liaise with St Anne’s teams and local agencies to ensure any maintenance work is carried out and, appropriate benefits are received by the individuals. You will promote participation in the management of the properties from the clients and help build positive relationships within the house and local community.

Main duties of the job
- Visiting clients on a weekly basis
- Offering a range of support to help maintain tenancies
- Monitoring health and safety requirements
- Working closely with the housing and maintenance departments
- Assessing new clients to the service
- Liaising with external agencies
- Covering for other staff as required
The successful candidate will have.
- An understanding of the needs of clients who access our services
- An ability to solve problems creatively and swiftly
- Excellent communication skills
- An ability to work on your own initiative as well as part of team.
- IT skills as most administration functions are carried out via Office 365

Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities
- Responsible and accountable for ensuring that all accommodation and sundry charges payable by tenants for St Anne’s properties are collected and balanced efficiently.
- Responsible for maximising income to both landlords and tenants by liaison with the Benefits Agency and other appropriate agencies.
- Responsible for providing basic advice and assistance on entitlement to Welfare Benefits.
- Responsible for requisitioning from the relevant St Anne’s department new goods and replacement equipment in St Anne’s properties using the list of approved suppliers.
- Responsible for ensuring tenants receive a level of support appropriate to their needs to maintain their accommodation, in accordance with the current Philosophy of Care, Code of Practice of St Anne’s Community Services and current legislative and regulatory standards.
- Responsible for promoting tenant participation in the management of their accommodation.
- Responsible for maintaining accurate and appropriate records relating to property, organisational and tenant issues.
- Responsible for promoting positive relationships between tenants, assisting tenants to be good neighbours and promoting adequate standards of cleanliness of properties and grounds.
- Responsible for investigating and resolving minor breaches of tenancy including allegations of anti-social behaviour.
- Responsible for health and safety inspections of housing stock, including fire risk assessments, in line with current legislation and best practice
