30.5 hours per week, 52.14 weeks per year, 10% shift allowance

An exciting opportunity has arisen within Housing with Care to recruit to our Housing Support Worker role.

The post holders will work as part of a team of staff to deliver care and support for tenants in line with their care plan, with reference to the Health and Social Care Standards.

The post holders will assist in managing the Housing with Care in West Lothian to ensure tenants maintain independent tenancies by providing a warm, friendly, and safe environment. They will directly support tenants in their homes by offering individual advice, practical assistance, and personal and emotional care.

Qualifications required or able to work towards: SVQ3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent.

This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the start date to register with the SSSC. Applications must be submitted within three months of starting. If already registered, candidates must add West Lothian Council to their account.

This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the PVG Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check before a formal offer is made.
