Housing Support Worker in Halifax is a temporary role paying £13.70 per hour PAYE. The successful candidate will provide tailored, hands-on support to individuals and families moving from temporary accommodation into safe, suitable and sustainable housing.

Experience with vulnerable people facing mental/physical health issues, substance misuse and safeguarding; strong welfare benefits knowledge; ability to work independently across the borough, travel by car, and manage a busy schedule of home

Responsabilidades

Housing Support Worker needed in Halifax

The successful candidate will provide tailored, hands‑on support to individuals and families as they move from temporary accommodation into safe, suitable and sustainable housing. They will bring proven experience of working with vulnerable people facing a range of challenges including mental and physical health issues, substance misuse, financial hardship and domestic abuse, and will confidently identify and escal any safeguarding concerns.

A strong communicator with solid welfare benefits knowledge, they will be able to work independently across the borough, be a car user, and manage a busy schedule of home visits, office‑based work and duty rota responsibilities. They will have a background in supporting clients with complex needs, helping them secure appropriate interim accommodation and then progressing them into privately rented housing, ensuring the right ongoing support is in place so tenancies can thrive.
