A leading council is seeking a Housing Support Co-ordinator to oversee the delivery of housing support services to vulnerable adults in Lerwick. The successful candidate will manage staff, ensure compliance with care standards and support career growth within the council. The Shetland Islands Council's Housing Support Shetland is a regulated Housing Support service which is registered with the Care Inspectorate to deliver Housing Support to vulnerable adults in line with the National Care Standards and statutory legislative requirements. The Housing Support Co-ordinator is a member of the Housing Support Section of the Housing Service, based at 8 North Ness Business Park, Lerwick, responsible through the Team Leader - Housing Support. The post will be predominantly office based. The Housing Support Co-ordinator's core working hours will be between 9am and 5pm Monday to Friday, however, a flexible approach to working hours is required in accordance with the needs of the Service.
The purpose of the job is to assist with all tasks associated with managing and delivering a housing support service including the supervision of staff. The Housing Support Co-ordinator will also ensure the development, delivery and ongoing monitoring of person-centred support, in accordance with relevant legislation and the requirements of Registration.
