The University of Cambridge seeks a Housing Support Assistant to act as the first point of contact for housing inquiries. This role involves guiding prospective tenants through the application process, managing various housing-related queries, and providing tailored solutions. Housing Support Assistants provide a welcoming, initial interface as the first point of contact for all housing enquiries from a broad range of stakeholders, including University staff, students, visiting scholars and private sector landlords. With a sound understanding of the leasing process and tenancy management, they will provide supporting information and advice as required, supporting prospective University tenants through the application process and making the customer journey as simple and effective as possible.
This role will represent both Housing Services and key responsibilities include; providing prompt, professional and informative responses to all enquiries; identifying housing options and signposting customers to both internal and external solutions as appropriate; confirming the eligibility of customers for University housing and advising on the application process; supporting the advertising and marketing of all University housing, as well as handling enquiries for the private sector and Colleges.
