Job summary

East Staffordshire Borough Council is offering a Housing Strategy Apprentice role to gain practical experience shaping housing provision across the borough. You will work with the Housing Manager to support a programme of strategy work and undertake a Chartered Institute of Housing course.

You will gather and analyse housing data, monitor affordable housing delivery, assist with First Homes and Discounted Sale Housing processes, and collaborate with developers, housing providers and other

Qualifications

Minimum five GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above) including English and Maths.
Two A Levels, a T Level, a BTEC or housing experience.
Good communication and numeracy skills; able to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

Gather and analyse housing data to identify local needs and inform strategies, policies and action plans.
Help monitor affordable housing delivery and maintain accurate records of homes across the borough.
Assist with administration of affordable home ownership schemes, including First Homes and Discounted Sale Housing.
Work with colleagues, developers, housing providers and other partners to support housing projects and consultations.
Develop your confidence in preparing reports, presenting information, responding to enquiries and managing priorities.
