Job description

This position is fixed term until 30 April 2026

We are seeking a Housing Services Co-ordinator to support the Tenancy Managers in delivering a high-quality, customer-focused service. The role involves providing effective and timely responses to enquiries and complaints.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Respond promptly to enquiries, including complaints, MP and councillor enquiries, Subject Access Requests, and Freedom of Information requests.
  2. Manage a team of Housing Services Advisors, supporting Housing Services Officers with resource planning and administration.
  3. Act on behalf of the Operations Manager - Housing Services and deputise when necessary.
  4. Oversee daily operations of the housing reception in Smethwick.
Essential Requirements
  • At least 2 years of experience in delivering tenancy-related services.
  • Experience handling complaints and enquiries effectively.
  • Experience working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
  • Experience briefing or providing information to elected members.
Skills and Knowledge

Excellent communication skills, the ability to handle complex issues, and a thorough understanding of housing management functions are essential. The candidate must be capable of working in a demanding environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Level 2 Numeracy and Literacy qualifications or equivalent (evidence required).

Additional Details

Hours: 37 hours per week
