Job description

Housing Regulatory Assurance Officer
Full-time (37 hours) – Permanent
Grade C1 - £33,366 - £36,124 per annum

North Kesteven District Council is seeking an enthusiastic housing professional to join the Housing Quality team, supporting the Housing, Property and Customer Services division. The Council as a landlord must demonstrate its compliance with the regulatory framework for social housing. This role focuses on an evidence based approach to that regulatory assurance along with data validation, performance analysis, with good practice research and application.

Job Requirements:
• Degree or equivalent in Housing or a related discipline / relevant professional qualification
• Substantial understanding of the regulatory environment for social housing
• Experience within a registered provider of social housing (local authority or private), ideally in an assurance, compliance, or performance based role
• Excellent data analysis, report writing and project management skills

Key Responsibilities:
• Identifying, implementing & coordinating assurance activities and working closely with colleagues on improvement plans
• Performance data - Collation, validation, analysis and reporting
• Statutory data returns – coordination, adhering to requirements and deadlines
• Policy & Procedure management – undertaking procedural compliance checks
• Surveys – planning, facilitating and analysing results to measure service delivery and identify improvement, including the annual tenant survey including Tenant Satisfaction Measures
• Presentation – reports, presentations, customer facing documents, analysis to ensure tenants, members and stakeholders are informed and able to make informed judgements

You will be required to apply high levels of focus and adaptability when carrying out this role, to support the delivery of robust regulatory assurance at a technical level. Able to show an appreciation of the contribution local government can make to the welfare of the people living, working, and visiting the district, particularly importance to tenants being informed and valued.
