Job summary

Stroud District Council is seeking a Housing Regulatory Assurance Officer to lead regulatory assurance work, prepare for inspections, and drive improvements in housing services. The role sits within the Housing Service and offers a hybrid working arrangement in a supportive, community-focused council.

You will coordinate assurance activities, maintain evidence, and work with managers, tenants and partners to identify risks and deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Experience of compliance, assurance, governance, regulation, housing or service improvement activities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate assurance and compliance activity across the Housing Service.

We are looking for a highly organised, analytical and proactive professional to join our Housing Service as a Housing Regulatory Assurance Officer. This exciting new role offers the opportunity to be at the centre of our regulatory assurance work, helping us meet the requirements of the Regulator of Social Housing, prepare for inspections, and continue improving the services we provide to our tenants.

Working across the Housing Service, you will coordinate assurance and compliance activity, maintain clear evidence and assurance processes, and work with managers, service teams, tenants and partners to identify risks, support good practice and drive continuous improvement.

If you have experience in compliance, assurance, governance, regulation, housing, performance management or service improvement, this is a fantastic opportunity to use your skills in a role with purpose. You will help ensure our housing services are accountable, well prepared and focused on delivering excellent outcomes for tenants and communities.
