THE ROLE

We are recruiting for the Housing Partnerships Manager role, responsible for leading the management of the Council's two PFI contracts and other external arrangements. The ideal candidate will have experience in managing large-scale contracts and building successful provider relationships, especially in housing.

Newham manages two PFI contracts in Canning Town and Forest Gate, serving 2,500 households. The Housing Partnerships Manager oversees the Housing Partnerships team (3 officers), liaising with contractors, overseeing expenditure, investment, and monitoring performance against KPIs and policies. The team collaborates with other departments to ensure integrated service delivery.

About You

We are interested in candidates with:

  • Strong understanding of commissioning, contract, project management, and improvement processes in local authority or affordable housing contexts.
  • Experience in stakeholder partnership, engagement, and co-production with service users.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, report writing, and presentation skills.

Successful candidates will have effective project management skills, ability to work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
