Job summary

5 Star Recruitment is seeking a Housing Advisor in Taunton to provide information and assistance to applicants who are homeless or at risk. You will work with partners and agencies to prevent homelessness and help people explore housing options that meet their needs.

Role includes assessing circumstances, developing personalised housing plans, progressing housing applications, and maintaining secure records in line with data protection policies.

Qualifications

• Education at least A level or NVQ4 and ongoing development.
• Ability to build relationships, resourceful and solution focused.

Responsibilities

• Provide advice and information to applicants who are homeless or at risk.
• Work with partners to prevent homelessness in the community.
• Progress Part 7 housing applications under current legislation and Part 6 apps under local schemes.
• Carry out needs assessments and create personalised housing plans to secure accommodation.
• Maintain accurate records in line with data protection policies.
• Assist applicants to access private rented sector and council bond schemes.
