Job summary

4Recruitment Services is seeking a Triage/Housing Options Officer in Slough for an initial 6-month contract. The role is three days onsite and two days work from home, with an annual salary of about £36,350 (£18.64/hour PAYE).

The position requires strong knowledge of homelessness and housing legislation and the ability to assess and respond to housing approaches. Excellent written and spoken English, plus a solid understanding of equality and inclusion, are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and Housing Act 1996 Parts VI and VII.
• Experience assessing and responding to housing and homelessness approaches.
• Ability to accurately complete forms and maintain personal and statistical information, with a thorough understanding of accuracy, confidentiality and data handling.
• Good written and spoken English.
• A clear understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion.
• Strong problem-solving, negotiation and interviewing skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge and practical experience of the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017 and Housing Act 1996 Parts VI and VII, together with knowledge of theRenters' Rights Act, relevant codes of guidance, case law and legislative/service standards.
• Experience of assessing and responding to housing and homelessness approaches.
• Ability to accurately complete forms and maintain personal and statistical information, with a thorough understanding ofaccuracy, confidentiality and data handling.
• Good written and spoken English.
• A clear understanding ofequality, diversity and inclusion.
• Strongproblem-solving, negotiation and interviewing skills.
