Job summary

Pertemps London is seeking an experienced Housing Adviser to join a reputable housing provider in London on a temporary basis. You will manage homelessness caseloads, perform detailed assessments and make statutory decisions under Part VII of the Housing Act 1996, as amended by the Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.

The role requires strong knowledge of homelessness legislation, the ability to handle complex cases with autonomy, and delivering high standards of customer service across channels.

Qualifications

• Experience as Housing Adviser or similar role with homelessness caseloads.
• Strong knowledge of Part VII and Homelessness Reduction Act 2017.
• Ability to assess eligibility and determine statutory duties with autonomy.

Responsibilities

• Assess homelessness applications and determine eligibility under Housing Act Part VII and 2017 amendments.
• Conduct Housing Options interviews and develop Personal Housing Plans.
• Provide housing advice, assess affordability, and identify suitable accommodation.
• Manage an allocated caseload, progress applications, and issue decision letters on time.
• Collaborate with partners, make referrals, and participate in case conferences.
