Job description

Job Title: Housing Officer

Location: Wrexham and wider Wales

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am-5:00 pm

Salary: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum

A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.

The successful applicant will be required to complete a DBS and CTC clearance

Manpower UK is currently recruiting for a dedicated Housing Officer on behalf of our client. This field-based role will see you supporting a caseload of vulnerable service users across Wrexham and Wales, helping to maintain their wellbeing and ensure properties are managed to the highest standard.

This is a vital role offering a mix of people-focused support and property management. You'll work independently while collaborating with a wider operational team and external stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities
Service User Support:

  • Manage a caseload of up to 250 individuals in supported accommodation
  • Conduct monthly welfare visits and bi-weekly wellbeing checks
  • Induct service users into their new accommodation
  • Signpost to local services including GPs, charities and council support
  • Respond to absconsions and incidents as appropriate
  • Assist with transport or relocation when required

Property Management:

  • Carry out property inspections and identify maintenance needs
  • Report, arrange, or carry out minor repairs
  • Ensure inventory compliance and property readiness post-move-out
  • Maintain health and safety and certification standards
  • Liaise with landlords and prepare terminated properties for handback

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Work closely with your team leader and local colleagues
  • Attend internal and external meetings as needed
  • Engage with local authorities and support agencies
