Hybrid Working Arrangements

The majority of the working week will be office-based with the housing team in Histon, especially in the first six months (probation period). Afterward, there may be opportunities to apply for increased hybrid working, depending on team needs and service delivery.

What You’ll Do

  1. Assist the Director of Customers in developing and delivering a first-class housing management service in partnership with our customers.
  2. Line manage a team of Housing Officers, leading and coaching them to provide a responsive and proactive service.
  3. Be accountable for team performance, including lettings, tenancy issues, communal areas, rental income, and service charges.
  4. Respond proactively to anti-social behaviour, harassment, and domestic abuse cases, working positively with partner agencies.

About You

  • Minimum of two years’ experience managing and delivering a housing service in social housing.
  • Chartered Institute of Housing qualification or relevant management qualification preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of social housing law, benefits, housing policy, and social issues.
  • Line management experience is desirable.
  • Experience supporting customers with support needs.
  • Strong customer service focus, excellent communication, and influencing skills.
  • Ability to lead continuous improvement and coach team members effectively.
  • Experience with housing management IT systems, Microsoft Office, and strong numeracy skills.
  • Full UK driving license, access to a car for work, and business insurance.
