Job Description

We are seeking a Housing Management Worker for a permanent, full-time position based in Merseyside. The role involves 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a salary of £23,962.

As a social justice charity with over 50 years of experience, we focus on supporting disadvantaged young people and adults. Your role will involve providing housing management and intensive support to customers at risk of homelessness, managing a portfolio of properties, and working as part of a team to deliver excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting tenants with tenancy management, housing benefit claims, and signposting to support services.
  • Using coaching techniques to promote independence and help customers identify solutions.
  • Managing tenancies, signing up new tenants, and ensuring understanding of tenancy obligations.
  • Collaborating with the Housing Management team to meet targets and comply with policies.
  • Conducting health & safety checks and taking remedial actions as needed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Housing qualification and understanding of welfare benefits.
  • GCSE grade C or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Approachable with strong rapport-building skills.
  • Driving license and access to a car are required.
  • Enhanced DBS check.

Previous experience in Housing Management is desirable.
