The job itself

We have an exciting opportunity to join the Housing Services team in delivering front line services to the public, in particular advice and assistance in respect of homeless approaches. The role is based at County Hall in Beverley.

The work is challenging and varied. The post holder will be responsible for taking the lead with requests for assistance made under the provisions of the homeless persons legislation and providing housing options advice and guidance. This will include working across internal departments and with multi-agencies to fully assess the circumstances of applicants.

The successful applicant must have a sound knowledge of housing legislation and policy and have experience in Housing/homelessness. The successful candidate must hold a valid driving license and must have access to a vehicle as they will spend time out of the office.

The role offers blended working opportunities with time based in the office, at home, and out on site.
