Job Description - Housing Management Coordinator (25816)

Job Title: Housing Management Coordinator

Location: Birmingham

Type: Permanent, part-time (22.5 hpw), 3 days out of 5, Monday to Friday, rota working

Salary: £13.21 per hour (£25,838 per annum) [pro rata] plus benefits including Health Cash Plan

Overview

This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management Coordinator to join our team in Birmingham. As our Housing and Property Guru, you’ll focus on tenancy support, ensuring homes are safe and well maintained. You will support tenants in managing their tenancies and rent accounts, helping them transition to secure, long-term accommodation.

Responsibilities
  1. Ensure properties are well-maintained and engaging with tenants to support their tenancy management.
  2. Assist tenants with housing benefit claims and ensure these are reflected in rent accounts.
  3. Issue and sign warning letters and notices, and attend court when necessary.
  4. Prepare vacated rooms for new tenants within set timescales to maximize occupancy.
  5. Maintain health and safety standards and ensure maintenance meets required standards.
Ideal Candidate
  • Experience managing a housing caseload and overseeing landlord and housing duties.
  • Knowledge of re-letting procedures, rent collection, and tenancy actions.
  • Ability to lead and support team members.
  • Self-motivated with positive influence and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues and external partners effectively.
