Job Description - Housing Management Coordinator (25808)

Location: Cheltenham and Gloucester

Type: Permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week), Monday to Friday

Salary: £25,838 to £26,645 per annum, with benefits including Health Cash Plan

About the Role

This is a great opportunity for a Housing Management Coordinator to join our team in Cheltenham and Gloucester. As our Housing and Property Guru, you'll focus on tenancy support, ensuring homes are safe and well maintained. You will provide housing management services, supporting tenants to manage their tenancies and rent accounts, with the goal of helping them move to secure, long-term accommodation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies to ensure their properties are proud homes.
  • Assist customers with housing benefit claims, ensuring these are received and correctly applied to their rent accounts.
  • Issue and sign warning letters and notices as needed, including attending court when necessary.
  • Prepare rooms for new tenants, ensuring maximum occupancy by turning around vacant rooms, bedsits, and flats within set timescales.
  • Ensure health and safety compliance and maintenance standards are met.
Candidate Profile
  • Experience managing a housing management caseload and overseeing landlord duties.
  • Knowledge of re-letting rooms or units, rent collection, and formal tenancy actions.
  • Ability to lead within a team, providing guidance and support to colleagues.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to influence people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Proactive, well-organized, and able to work independently.
  • Excellent collaboration skills with colleagues and external partners.

Job Details
  • Flexible working hours, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility.
  • Based at our Gloucestershire service, traveling around five properties within Cheltenham and Gloucester.
  • Proficiency in technology for support plans, benefit claims, and tenancy sign-ups.
  • Must have a vehicle insured for business purposes; mileage will be reimbursed.
  • Enhanced DBS check required; we cover the cost.
