Job summary

Home Group Limited is seeking a Housing Litigation Lawyer to join its supportive legal team in Newcastle and across nationwide offices. You will advise on housing disputes, prepare court documents, represent the organisation in court, and manage a broad housing matters caseload within a flexible hybrid framework.

Candidates should have a solicitor or barrister qualification with rights of audience, plus experience in housing litigation, civil procedures, and drafting legal documents.

• Knowledge of civil procedure rules and court processes.
• Experience handling anti-social behaviour, possession, or tenancy breach cases.

Responsibilities

• Advise on housing litigation, including anti-social behaviour and tenancy breach cases.
• Prepare court applications, statements, and all supporting evidence.
• Represent the organisation at court or instruct external legal support.
• Manage a wide range of housing management legal matters.
• Support policy and procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.

What you’ll do

• Advise on housing litigation, including anti-social behaviour and tenancy breach cases
• Prepare court applications, statements, and all supporting evidence
• Represent the organisation at court or instruct external legal support
• Manage a wide range of housing management legal matters
• Support policy and procedures to ensure legal and regulatory compliance

You’ll work closely with other experienced legal professionals who will support you to grow and develop in your role. You have

The practical bits

• We generally work on a hybrid basis with 2 days a week based in our Newcastle City Centre office, but are open to being based in other offices and flexible working arrangements for the right candidate
• You’ll work Monday to Friday with flexibility built in
