A recruitment agency is seeking a Housing Litigation Lawyer for a London Local Authority. This role is ideal for qualified solicitors or barristers eager to gain public sector experience in housing law. The lawyer will provide legal advice on various aspects of housing litigation, work in a supportive team, and potentially attend court hearings. This role requires in-office presence once a week, and is initially for 3 months with extensions likely.
Sellick Partnership is pleased to be recruiting for a Housing Litigation Lawyer to join a well-established London Local Authority on a rolling locum contract basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Solicitor, Barrister, FILEX, or equivalent, who wishes to expand their experience in public sector housing litigation work. While local authority experience is highly desirable, applications from candidates with transferable skills from other sectors will also be considered. The successful candidate must have experience providing professional legal advice on all aspects of housing litigation.
The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Housing Law and expertise in at least one of the following areas:
The Housing and Litigation team is friendly and supportive, offering training where appropriate. The team and council are highly regarded, working on interesting cases.
This role suits an ambitious, team-oriented individual who can adapt within the local authority environment. Candidates from both public sector and private practice backgrounds are welcome. The role involves office presence once a week, with potential attendance at court hearings in person. The council offices are easily accessible via public transport. The position is initially for 3 months with a high likelihood of extension.
