Senior Legal Counsel (Housing & Tenancy)

Based inBasingstoke (Flexible hybrid working)

We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel (Housing & Tenancy) to lead an in-house legal team with responsibility for all housing law matters including disrepair, possession, injunctions and tenancy management.This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Solicitor to lead an in-house housing law team in Basingstoke.

The Role

• Lead and supervise a team of housing lawyers
• Manage your own complex caseload: disrepair, possession, injunctions, tenancy breaches, leasehold, ASB and access orders
• Provide pragmatic legal advice to stakeholders across the business
• Shape legal processes, compliance and quality controls
• Oversee and manage external solicitors

About You

• Qualified Solicitor with a valid Practising Certificate
• Strong PQE in housing/tenancy law (housing association, local authority, or in-house)
• Proven team leadership and supervision experience
• Excellent project management, communication and problem-solving skills
