Bracknell Forest Council is recruiting a Housing Led Officer to support customers experiencing homelessness. The role involves intensive, person-centred assistance to help establish and sustain tenancies, with flexible arrangements including working from home and a minimum two days per week in the Time Square office.

You will manage a small caseload, assess needs and risks, and coordinate plans to enable long-term accommodation.

Our Housing Led Officers play a vital role in helping people who are experiencing homelessness to build stable, independent futures. Through intensive, flexible and person-centred support, you will work alongside individuals with complex needs to establish and sustain tenancies, access essential services and progress towards long-term, permanent accommodation.

Alongside providing practical and emotional support, the role carries important assessment, safeguarding and decision-making responsibilities. This will include assessing risks and accommodation suitability, maintaining detailed case records and regularly reviewing customer progress.

This is a full time, 18 month fixed term contract.

About you...

As a Housing Led Officer, you will be a proactive and compassionate individual able to provide intensive, person-centred support to customers with multiple and complex needs.

You will help customers establish and sustain tenancies, build independence, access specialist services and work towards long-term, stable accommodation.

You will manage a small caseload and work proactively with customers, often within their own homes, to assess their needs and risks, develop personalised support and resettlement plans, and build the practical skills needed to successfully manage a home.

Based at Time Square in Bracknell, you will join a supportive, collaborative and experienced Housing team where no two days are the same.
