Bromford is seeking a Housing Income Officer to join their Income Management team in Wolverhampton. This role involves providing essential support to customers facing rent payment difficulties, with a focus on building relationships and guiding them through benefits and income maximisation strategies. This position is on a 12-month fixed-term contract and full-time, working 37.5 hours per week. The office you will work from in this roaming role is Venture Court in Wolverhampton (WV10 6TB). The working patch you will cover is South Staffordshire and Telford.
Key Responsibilities
As a Housing Income Officer you will be part of our friendly and high-performing Income Management team. Your main responsibility will be to provide essential advice and support to customers who are experiencing difficulties with rent payments with a focus on tenancy sustainment.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone with experience in a front-line customer-facing role within a general needs housing environment or a similar background relevant to income collection. An understanding of housing benefit, universal credit, and welfare reform legislation would be advantageous. Strong communication skills are essential, as you will be engaging with both colleagues and customers. A positive attitude, proactive approach, and the ability to prioritise your workload are also important.
An Enhanced DBS check as well as a full driving licence and access to a vehicle is required.
