Job Description:

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Bedfordshire to assist with the appointment of a Housing Inclusion Project Officer, on a 8.5-month contract, highly likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £17.00 - £21.68 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • Promote new affordable housing schemes for residents aged 55+, using multiple communication channels.
  • Act as a key contact for interested tenants, enabling visits, viewings, and offering affordability advice.
  • Support fast-tracked applications and smooth move-ins by liaising across housing teams.
  • Respond to wider housing concerns raised during tenant contact and ensure appropriate follow-up.
  • Record and report tenant interactions and insights to help guide future housing stock use.

Requirements:

  • Experience in housing management or a similar housing role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build effective relationships with tenants, teams, and partner agencies.
  • Understanding of housing allocation criteria (training will be provided).
  • Confident in managing expectations and having sensitive conversations.
  • Experience with safeguarding and supporting vulnerable individuals.
