Job description

Salary: £38,160 - £40,095 per year

The Housing Investment Team has responsibility for the asset management of 12,000 Council houses across Renfrewshire. Reporting to the Housing Energy Manager, you will support the development and implementation of the Housing Energy element of the Housing Asset and Energy Management Strategy to improve energy efficiency within the Council’s housing stock through reductions in energy consumption and carbon emissions.

You will prepare, apply for, and administer funding applications and identify energy efficiency improvement measures for Council housing stock through pilot projects and prepare reports for consideration by managers and senior officials.

You will liaise with tenants, owners, internal and external stakeholders to ensure energy related projects are implemented to maximise benefits to the Council and residents alike.

It is essential you have a HNC or equivalent in Energy Management or a related discipline as well as knowledge and experience of energy management with domestic dwellings, ideally within a social housing context, and have knowledge of energy sustainability issues and renewable energy solutions.

You will have effective interpersonal and communication skills and be adaptable and flexible in your approach. You must be able to design and deliver presentations and attend meetings with internal and external stakeholders.

A driving licence is desirable.

Please note that this post is temporary, subject to business needs and funding for 18 months or until the requirement for the post ceases, whichever date is the earlier.
